Welcome to Arlo-Micromodel !
Arlo - In "about Arlo" you'll find some memorabilia concerning my father's factory of wood and tin plate kits, with origins back to the tough year of 1939, and inspired on famous brands like Märklin, Marx or Bassett-Lowke, which were difficult to afford then, by model enthusiasts from our country. A full line of trains, military vehicles, structures, ships and other interesting stuff, were then produced. A great deal of these models survived and are in permanent exibit at Dr.António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, Porto-Portugal.
Micromodel origin was in 1993, as a specialized train store. Closed doors to public in 2003.
Now, after some years of increasing tech experience, we are back again as artisan manufacturers of portuguese railways cast resin kit's, with a matured evolution of my own experience in cast polymers, since 1978.
Now, with the third family generation "in the mood", the real trend is to go straight forward!
